Abstract: Quality programmes have evolved outside “Institutions” since the seventies. A person with disability can be seen in his correct perspective as he is significantly hindered from living normal life in the society. There are often marked differences in attitudes toward disability and the role of persons with disabilities. Any rehabilitation programme should involved a dynamic approach that will enhance a total fulfillment of the individual. The individual learns how to live with residual permanent disabilities. Genuine adjustment focuses on the inner process that involves examination and possible reorientation of values.
