Abstract: | In this paper, the authors critically examined the roles for inter-disciplinary, multidisciplinary, transdisciplinary and multiprofessional team approach in educating special needs children in schools. The need for transdisciplinary, inter- disciplinary and multidisciplinary team approach and their specific function as collaborative professionals in educating special needs children is paramount to the success of special need learners in schools. The paper had systematically discuss the burning issues affecting inter-disciplinary and multidisciplinary team and information gathering transmission. More so, the writers also focus on assessment using multidisciplinary team and the purpose of assessment using inter-disciplinary team in order to find a better way of educating special needs children in schools, as well as to design a road map for providing such services in line with Nigeria's vision 20:20:and beyond. |
